The Texture of Nature

As much as I love nature, nature photography isn’t really the first category I go to. Having said that, Nature is all I can photograph most of the time. When submitting to that fact and also the fact that my style relies on texture, It was easy to mix those two and produce photos of nature that I can call mine.

A Home for Thoughts

“The plane of thoughts is a haunting place. In my mind, thoughts are so close yet so distant. They are mine and they are not. They roam in an empty space ruled by a texture of chaos.
That is where I’ve always been, a home of thoughts.”

A Home for Thoughts is a coincidental creation but also I believe that my preferences in photography or any other field are heavily influenced by something deeper than what I consciously aim to achieve.

Most of the time I take photos randomly. I rarely prepare for a photograph. When I’m taking photos, I simply trust that somehow I’m being guided. While I’m processing my photos, I dive into them and let them tell me what they’re about. Sometimes, I even discover bits about myself that I didn’t notice before.

In this series, the photographs are so simple yet to me they mean more than what’s within the frame. They’re a story of how I live and a manifestation of my philosophy. For  me it is a home of thoughts; to you, it is a home for thoughts, hoping that you will see beyond its apparent simplicity and project your own thoughts and ideas into that empty space.

[Randomness: A Fun Project] 001

I’ve been taking randoms photos left and right since the first time I held a camera. I posted so many of them here. Now I think I’ll dedicate a titled collection for them.

I won’t re-process or repost the old ones. I will keep the upcoming ones as visually consistent as I can.

For me it’s a fun project so I hope you enjoy them too.

RAFRAF: How I See It

It feels like I’ve been your tour guide since the moment I turned this blog to a photography blog. 90% of the photos I share are snapshots of my hometown. Not to mention, the blog’s name contains a part of my hometown.

If I’m to take the challenge seriously and sctrictly then the photos would be like postcards and touristism brochures and I just don’t know how to do that. My photos are almost always stylized.

My first attempt (and the only, so far) at a photography series was a personal vision of my hometown (Ingrained in the Night), quite biased and personal. I’ll just share some of those photos again here and hopefully you enjoy them.

and these are some of the people of my hometown.

A Walk in the Night 26/04/2017

Around two hours ago, I went out for a walk and I took a few shots for my Ingrained in the Night series.

Only three of the photos were decent enough to consider adding to the collection.

Ingrained in the Night

These are a few sample photos from my humble first photography collection titled Ingrained in the Night.

The idea is to capture my hometown in all of its roughness, dirtiness, and imperfections. This is my hometown the way I see it.

The series is unfinished but once it’s complete I will post it all again. I hope you like the photos.
